Loosen the bolt on the module mount and rotate the mount so that the sound module is in a vertical position. Tighten the bolt. 2. Folding the hi-hat. Loosen the bolt on the hi-hat arm and then turn the hi-hat pad so it is in a vertical position. Tighten the bolt. Loosen the hand knob, and swing the pipe and cymbal around to the front side of the kit as shown in the illustration. Tighten the knob firmly. 3. Folding tom 1. Loosen the bolt on the tom at the location shown in the illustration, and fold the tom so it is in a vertical position. Tighten the bolt. 4. Folding, lowering the crash cymbal. Loosen the bolt on the cymbal rod, and fold the cymbal so it is in a vertical position. Tighten the bolt. Open the lever on the pipe holding the cymbal rod, and gently lower the cymbal rod. Tighten the lever. Take care not to pinch the cable when lowering the pipe. NOTE Release the lever and lower the cymbal rod. Fold up the cymbal rods. Use drum key to loosen Loosen the hand knob 5. Loosen the hand knob on the pipe and lower it while turning it to align with the frame, as shown in the illustration. When you’ve lowered it to the very bottom, tighten the hand knob securely. Align 3 1 4 2 1. Turn off the power. 2. Disconnect all cables from the percussion sound module. Disconnect the connection cable, AC adaptor, headphones, and cables connected to the OUTPUT jacks. Loosen the knobs that fasten the connection cable, and pull the connector straight out. 3. Disconnect the hi-hat control pedal cable. You can fasten the disconnected cable to the cable holder. 4. Remove the kick pedal. 1. Folding tom 3. Loosen the bolt on the tom at the location shown in the illustration, and fold the tom so it is in a vertical position. Tighten the bolt. Loosen the hand knob, and swing the pipe and tom around to the front side of the kit as shown in the illustration. Tighten the knob firmly. 2. Place tom 2 in a vertical position. Loosen the bolt on the tom 2, and fold the tom so it is in a vertical position. Tighten the bolt. Loosen the hand knob and raise the tom 3 pipe all the way up. Tight the hand knob. 3. Fold up the cymbal rod and lower it. Loosen the bolt on the cymbal rod, and fold the cymbal so it is in a vertical position. Tighten the bolt. Open the lever on the pipe holding the cymbal rod, and gently lower the cymbal rod. Tighten the lever. Release the lever and lower the cymbal rod. Fold up the cymbal rod. 4. Loosen the hand knob, and lower the pipe while aligning it with the pipe of the stand. Loosen the hand knob on the pipe and lower it while turning it to align with the frame, as shown in the illustration. Align Loosen the hand knob, lower the pipe all the way down, and then securely tighten the hand knob. 5. Loosen the hand knob on the pipe and lower it while turning it to align with the frame, as shown in the illustration. When you’ve rotated them inward, tighten the hand knobs securely. 1. Loosen the hand knob and fold the stand inwards. 2. Loosen the hand knob and lower the snare pad as shown in the illustration. Loosen the hand knob at the location shown in the illustration, and lower the snare. Disconnect the connection cable and pedals Fold the left side Folding the right side Folding the stand. Not less than 13 cm When storing the system in a folded state, leave the stand’s pipes opened so that they are at least 13 cm apart. If this distance is less than 13 cm, the stand will be unstable and may fall over. NOTE MEMO For easy transportation, you can place the system in a carrying case (CB-TDP; sold separately) designed specifically for the Roland V-Drums Portable. Setup Guide 2 Folding up for storage If the hi hat support and sound module arm mounts are close together on the pipe, you can achieve the most compact, folded position. NOTE * Take care not to allow the system to tip over when folding it up. * When setting up or storing the system, take care not to pinch the fingers that grasp the stand. MEMO 1 2 3 1. Extend the stand. Loosen the hand knob, and open to 90 degrees. After you’ve opened the stand, tighten the hand knob. Do not open wider than 90 degrees 2. Raise the pipe. * Take care that the cables are not excessively stretched. NOTE Tighten the hand knobs to secure the pipes position. Loosen the hand knob, and extend the pipe.
