The AKG C 414 B/TLII is the latest of a series of variations on the basic C 414 design and draws from AKG’s early studio heritage, the legendary Model C 12. The CK 12 dual diaphragm capsule has been recreated, with its combination of warmth and presence, and combined with modern solidstate transformerless circuitry. The early CK 12’s were all slightly different in response -- a consequence of individual hand-crafting. Today we bring a higher degree of uniformity to the production line, and the new C 414 B/TLII models are quite consistent in response.
