BEEP OFF: no beep sound is heard. SEEK (for Tuner mode) 14 Select SEEK 1 or SEEK 2. Seek 1: In Radio mode rotate and hold PREV/NEXT knob. The radio will seek the next strong and clear frequency station. Repeat to seek more stations in your listening area with a strong signal. Seek 2: In Radio mode rotate and hold PREV/NEXT buttons for station search. The search will not cease until you release the knob. VOL LAST/ADJUST In this mode the unit will be turned on with the same volume level at which the unit was shut down last time. You can rotate VOL knob to switch to "VOL ADJ". Press SEL button to confirm, then "A-VOL" will be displayed. At this time, rotate VOL knob to set the volume level you need. This will be the preset sound level for unit. Then every time the unit will be turned on with this volume level. Leave the unit idle for the new setting to take effect. Loudness Press LOUD; LOUD ON will be displayed meaning that bass output emphasize function is activated. To deactivate the function press the button again. AUX in jack AUX-in jack is intended for connecting an external audio or video equipment to amplify the sound. If connection is made correctly, the audio signal from the external source will be translated through the acoustics of the head unit. This enables to adjust the volume and quality of the sounding. For example, you can connect an MP3-player to listen to tracks using the car acoustic system. 15 Radio operations BAND selection Press repeatedly BAND button to select your desired radio band in radio mode: FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1 (MW1), AM2 (MW2). Each band can store 6 preset stations, for a total of 30 preset memory stations. Tuning Rotate repeatedly PREV/NEXT knob to manually adjust the radio frequency. Rotate and hold PREV/NEXT knob, the radio will seek to the next up or down strong and clear frequency station automatically. Repeat this action to seek for other desired stations. To stop automatic search, rotate NEXT/PREV knob. Automatic store/Scan • Automatic store: Press and hold F/PS button, the receiver will automatically scan and save stations for the current band. • Scan: Press F/PS button once to scan the saved stations in each band. Programming stations There are six numbered preset buttons, under which you can store and recall stations for each band. Select the needed station, then press and hold a preset button. The station will be saved in the memory under the corresponding number. To recall a stored station, press the corresponding preset button. 16 Disc operations Loading/Eject a disc • Insert the disc with the printed side facing upward into the slot. The CD will play automatically. • If the disc is not removed from the slot within 10 seconds, it will automatically be loaded into the slot again. When the disc is ejected and removed, the unit will automatically switch to radio mode. Pausing playback To ensure good system performance, wait until the unit finishes reading the disc information before proceeding. Press 1/PLAY/PAUSE button to pause the playback. Press again to resume the playback. Playing the previous/next track During playback rotate NEXT/PREV knob clockwise or anticlockwise to play next or previous track correspondingly. Fast forward and backward playback Rotate and hold NEXT/PREV button more than 3 seconds clockwise or anticlockwise to fast forward or reverse correspondingly. Press 1/PLAY/PAUSE button when the desired point is found. UP 10/DN 10 function (for MP3, WMA modes) Press 6/UP 10 button to advance 10 tracks at a time. Press 5/DN 10 button to go back 10 tracks at a time. Intro playback You can play the beginning of every track for several seconds in sequence. Press 2/INT button to start intro play. Press again to cancel. 17 Repeat playback During disc playback, press 3/RPT button to repeat the current track playback. Press again to cancel. Random playback During disc playback, press 4/RDM button to start random playback of the tracks. Press again to cancel. ID3 Tag function If a MP3 file has ID3 Tag information it will be displayed on the LCD. Search function Cancel Random, Repeat and Intro functions before searching. Track search: • Press F/PS button, then press SEL button. Use VOL knob to select the track number. Switch between the track number digits by pressing SEL button. • Press SEL button, the selected track will start to play. Folder search: • Press F/PS button twice and then press SEL button. • Use VOL knob to select the needed folder name. • Press SEL button, the selected song will start to play. Character search: • Press F/PS button three times and then press SEL button. • Use VOL knob to select the first character of the file name. Press SEL button to advance to the second character selection. • Press SEL button, to start playback of the file, the name of which is close to the input name.
