4). SISTEMA DE SEGURIDAD El hervidor tiene un triple sistema de seguridad que lo apagga: - Cuando hierve el agua. - Cuando el hervidor se enciende de forma accidental y esta vacio. - Cuando se retira el hervidor de la plataforma de conexion. LIMPIEZA Antes de su limpieza, compruebe que el aparato se encuenttre desconectado y frio. No sumerja ninguna parte del aparatto en agua u otros liquidos. La superficie del cuerpo del aparato se puede limpiar con un trapo humedo y, posteriormente, un trapo seco. ADVERTENCIA: No utilice rascadores o limpiadores abrasivos para limpiar el aparato. Para hacer la limpieza mas facil, puede retirar el filtro. Para ello, abra la tapa y presione suavemente sobre el filtro hacia dentro. (Fig. -5) Antes de volver a utilizar el hervidor, compruebe que las conexiones electricas y la superficie exterior esten complettamente secas. El hervidor se puede guardar con el cable enrollado bajo al plataforma de conexion. DESCALCIFICACION Si el agua de un area particular es muy dura, se forman deppositos en el hervidor y puede apagarse antes de que hierva el agua. Proceda del modo siguiente para descalcificar el hervidor: 1. Llene hasta la marca “MAX” con una solucion de agua y unas gotas de vinagre. Encienda el hervidor y espere hasta que se apague automaticamente. 2. Desenchufe el hervidor y deje la solucion en el interior durrante varias horas. 3. Vierta la solucion y hierva agua tras llenar hasta la marca “MAX” varias veces para eliminar cualquier resto de vinaggre. Lave el hervidor con agua limpia. REPARACIONES Si el aparato sufre alguna averia, llevelo a un Servicio Tecnico Autorizado. CONSEJOS SOBRE ELIMINACION: Nuestros productos se entregan en un embalaje optimizado. Consiste basicamente en la utilizacion de materiales no contaminantes que debe entregarsse al servicio local de retirada de residuos como materias primas secundarias. Antes de eliminar un aparato electrico, asegurese de que haya quedado inservible y hagalo de acuerdo con las leyes nacionales en vigor. CONNECTION TO THE MAINS Before connecting the appliance, check that the voltage is the same as the voltage indicated on the characteristics plate. In order to avoid the risk of fire, do not use an adapter to connect the device to the electrical outlet. An earthed plug is recommended. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS • Read the instructions carefully, and keep them in a safe placce for future reference. • This appliance must only be used for heating water. • The appliance has been designed exclusively for domestic use. • Do not touch the hot surfaces or put the hands on or near the pouring spout. Use the handle. • Put the appliance on a flat surface and make sure water can not splash on to the connection platform or any of its internal electrical components. • Do not use the kettle with the water level either higher than the “MAX” mark or lower than the “MIN” mark. • If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected. • Keep the lid closed during use. • Only use the kettle with the connection platform supplied with it. Do not use this unit for other purposes. -This appliance must not be used by persons (including childdren) with physical, sensory or mental impairments unless they have been instructed in its correct use by a responsible adult. -Do not leave the kettle unattended during use and children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. • Unplug the kettle from the mains when it is not in use and before cleaning it. Let it cool before cleaning it. -Keep the appliance away from heat sources. Do not leave the cord hanging or let it come into contact with hot surfaces. Do not pull on the cord to unplug the kettle. • Do not immerse the kettle or connection platform in water or any other liquid. -Do not use the appliance if the cord or plug is damaged, if you observe that it is not operating properly or if it has suffered any kind of damage. Repairs or changing the cord must only be carried out by an Authorized Technical Service Centre. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Before first using the kettle, fill it to the “MAX” position, boil the water then pour it away. 1. Press the release button (Fig-1) on the handle to open the lid 2.
