Turn off the receiver before installing or replacing batteries. In the Transmitter In the Receiver ON/OFF Introduction Installing Batteries OBATTERY NOTES O• Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly. • Do not burn or bury batteries. • Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended type. • Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries, or batteries of different capacities. • If you do not plan to use the mantis for a week or more, remove the batteries. Batteries can leak chemicals that can damage electronic parts. Transmitter Press to drive forward. Press to drive (circle) backward. Release either button to stop the mantis. Receiver • Using your mantis for long periods of time can generate high heat levels, resulting in motor wear and tear. Let the mantis cool for about 10 minutes. • If the mantis does not respond to the transmitter (and fresh batteries are installed), move the transmitter closer to the mantis and try again. • If someone is using a CB nearby, it may causeinterference.
