Use clamps, vise, or work-holding devices to hold the workpiece to avoid the risk of hand injury. 3. To avoid inadvertently starting the screwdriver, disable the screwdriver by moving the direction selector to the center OFF position after each use. 4. Only charge this tool using the charger supplied. DO NOT use chargers from other cordless tools. 5. Charge the screwdriver battery on a dry, hard surface in a shaded location with good ventilation. DO NOT place charger on or near flammable materials. DO NOT cover the charger when charging. Only charge the battery when the air temperature is between 50°F and 104°F. Only plug the charger into a circuit that is 110-120V. 6. Unplug the charger when cleaning or not in use. 7. The screwdriver battery must be recycled or disposed of properly. DO NOT dispose of the battery in a landfill or incinerate. Combustion of some of the battery component materials can cause toxic fumes and possible explosion. A. Work Light: Provides light when working in dark areas. B. Light ON/OFF Switch: Enables/disables the work light. C. Handle Lock: When pushed forward, allows the handle to rotate to a straight or 45° angle working position. D. Direction Selector: Selects the direction of the screwdriver, and disables the screwdriver when in the center position. E. Battery Charger Plug Receptacle: Allows the screwdriver to connect to the charger. F. Screwdriver Trigger: Rotates bit when pressed and stops bit rotation when released. G. Speed Selector: Controls bit rotation speed. Push the selector forward for a speed of 100 RPM and move it back for 300 RPM. H. Wrist Strap: Provides an easy method of carrying or storing the tool. J. Bit Holder: Secures a standard hexagonical-shank bit in the screwdriver. The base is magnetized. NOTICE Charge the battery for at least 3 hours before using the screwdriver the first time. Charging the Battery 1. Plug the battery charger into a grounded 110V outlet in a dry location. 2. Place the screwdriver on a flat, stable, and dry surface, then insert the charger's plug into the receptacle at the base of the handle. Note: The red light at the base of the handle will stay brightly lit when there is correct power to the charger. 3. When the battery is charged, disconnect the battery charger and store it in a safe, dry location for the next use. Replacing the Work Light Bulb 1. Make sure the screwdriver is disconnected from the battery charger and is turned OFF. 2. Push the protective hood that is over the work light bulb forward until it slides off the screwdriver. 3. Remove the old light bulb from the clamp, install the new light bulb, then replace the protective hood. NOTICE To avoid damage to the screwdriver, ONLY use light bulbs that are rated for use with 3.6 volt batteries.
