1. Clean the appliance exterior with a soft moistened cloth. 2. Remove the shelf supports and telescopic rails from the oven. 3. Clean the oven and the accessories with a hot detergent solution. Please observe the operating instructions furnished with the hob. Initial burn-in Before you use the oven for the first time, you should set the timer to the time of day. Heat the empty oven for approx. 30 minutes. Select top and bottom heat at a setting of 240° C. Subsequent cleaning Clean the oven with a hot detergent solution. Install the shelf supports and telescopic rails. Timer Example: Press the left button and rotate it 37 minutes past 12 anti-clockwise. Attention: If the oven is operated without automatic switch-off, the 9 symbol must be indicated in the display window of the timer and the mark on the outer ring must correspond with the hour hand. Timer The control panel Hour hand For setting minute timer/ length of cooking time and time of day (press) For setting start of cooking time (press) Minute hand Mark for start of cooking timeDisplay window for length od cooking time Minute timer Do not use when the oven is on. Example: Ensure that the mark on the outer ring corresponds 5 minutes with the hour hand. Run time: max. 3 hours (180 minutes). Settings made with the left button only. 1. Rotate the button anti-clockwise until the required time is indicated in the display window. Corrections made by anti-clockwise rotation of button only. When the time has elapsed, a signal sounds. 2. To switch off the signal, continue rotating the button anti-clockwise until the 3symbol is indicated in the display field. Immediately continue rotating the button until the 9 symbol is indicated. Automatic timer functions The automatic timer is best suited for use with dishes that require little attention during cooking. The oven can be switched both ON and OFF by the timer. Automatic OFF Baking or roasting begins immediately. Note: Example: 90 minutes Ensure that the mark on the outer ring corresponds with the hour hand. The length of cooking time can be pre-set to a maximum of 3 hours (180 minutes). Settings made with the left button only. 1. Select the heating system and the oven temperature. 2. Rotate the button anti-clockwise until the required ON time duration (example: 90 minutes) is indicated in the display window. The oven is now on for the required duration. Corrections made by anti-clockwise rotation of button only. After the pre-set cooking time has elapsed, an alarm signal sounds and the oven is automatically switched OFF. 3. To switch off the signal, continue rotating the button anti-clockwise until the 3symbol is indicated in the display field. Immediately continue rotating the button until the 9 symbol is indicated. 4. Switch the oven off. The automatic timer has now ended. Automatic ON and OFF If the food is to be baked or roasted later on, both the ON time and OFF time must be set. Example: Set the start time first of all and then the length of Start of cooking time set to cooking time. 12.00 hrs Note: The time at which cooking should start can be pre-set up to 12 hours in advance. The length of cooking time can be pre-set for a maximum of 3 hours (180 minutes). 1. Select the heating system and the oven temperature. 2. Press the right button and rotate it until the mark on the outer ring is situated at the required ON time. 3. Rotate the left button anti-clockwise until the required ON time duration is indicated in the display window. The oven will be automatically switched ON at Length of cooking time set to the pre-set time. 90 minutes When the pre-set cooking time has elapsed, an alarm signal sounds and the oven is automatically switched OFF. 4. To switch off the signal, continue rotating the left button anti-clockwise until the 3symbol is indicated in the display field. Immediately continue rotating the button until the 9 symbol is indicated. 5. Switch the oven off. The automatic timer has now ended. Example: Description of Oven Features Circotherm A fan system located in the rear oven wall circulates the hot air in the oven, achieving an especially effective heat transfer to the food being baked or * roasted. Advantages: –Simultaneous baking and roasting possible on up to 3 levels –low soiling of oven interior – shorter preheating times –low oven temperatures Top and bottom heat The food being baked or roasted is exposed to heat (Conventional heating system) radiation from heating elements located at the top and bottom of the oven cavity. / Baking and roasting is possible on one shelf position only. Advantages: – Baking of cake with moist filling, pizza, quiche. Surface grilling The food being prepared is exposed to heat radiation from the heating element at the top of the oven cavity. –Particularly effective with flat, small cuts of meat, i.e., steaks, sausages, fish, vegetables and toast.
