Changing System Options Video options The video options affect the way the picture looks on your TV. Video Black Level Normal [default] Extended Screen black level generally appropriate for TVs. Increases screen black level, appropriate for certain TVs. Video Format NTSC [default] PAL Correct for NTSC (US standard) monitors. Correct for PAL (European standard) monitors. Progressive Scan** Off [default] On Screen image repaints in standard style. Screen image repaints in advanced style (if available on the TV). * A read-only item that indicates the connection detected automatically by the system. ** Appears only when Video Connector is Component. Changing System Options Media center options The media center options affect the general operation of the system. Darkens or lightens the media center display. Display Language English [default] Dansk, Deutsch, Espanol, Francais, Italiano, Nederlands, Svenska On-screen display menus appear in the selected language. Optical Source None [default] TV, CBL/SAT, AUX No digital signal received via optical cable. Digital signal received via optical cable for selected source. Tuner Spacing US [default] European Channel spacing for AM/FM radio stations set to selected region standard. Bose link Room Code* B [default], C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, or O Assigns a room code to your 3•2•1 Series II system when it is connected to a Bose® link source. Restore Factory Defaults No Yes Maintains current system settings. Reverts system settings back to factory defaults. ** Appears only when a Bose® link source is connected. Changing System Options Changing System Options Remote control options The Remote Control options help you set up your remote to control other audio devices that are connected to your system. TV Device Code Code number Provides a list of available device codes for the selected TV brand. CBL/SAT Device Cable, Satellite Identifies which of two devices is connected to the CBL-SAT input. CBL/SAT Brand Brand name Provides a list of cable/satellite box brands for the 3•2•1 remote control to operate. CBL/SAT Device Code Code number Provides a list of available device codes for the selected cable/satellite box brand. AUX Device VCR, PVR Identifies which of two devices is connected to the AUX input. AUX Brand Brand name Provides a list of VCR/PVR brands for the 3•2•1 remote control to operate. AUX Device Code Code number Provides a list of available device codes for the selected VCR/PVR brand. Note: To find the brand and device codes for each component that can be connected to, and controlled by the 3•2•1 system, see “Device Codes” on page 57. Changing System Options DVD Lock options The DVD Lock options allow you to restrict viewing of DVD videos with certain ratings. To activate this feature, you need to set a level of restriction and establish a password in the DVD Lock section of the System menu.
