Yr Notes: There are three ways of connecting the player's AV output to the TV set: 1. S-video cable and left/right audio cable [set the (Video Type) to (S-Video)]. 2. Composite video cable and left/right audio cable. 3. Component video cable and left/right audio cable [set the (Video Type) to (Y, Pb, Pr)]. Only attach one video connection at a time.to prevent picture interference. Set the TV to the AV input connected to the DVD player 2. Set the Amplifier to the AV input connected to the DVD player. -10- Connecting to an AV Amplifier with Digital Audio Input Connections Optical cable rn %. '■ Coaxial ÜJ; Optical Amplifier Notes: 1. Select the Coaxial digital audio output. 2. Set the player's audio out to Raw or PCM mode . 3. Set the Amplifier to the AV input connected to the DVD player. -11- Basic Operation Basic Playback Preparation before playing: 1. Connect the DVD player to your TV and amplifier. 2. Turn on the TV. 3. Set the TV to the AV input connected to the DVD player. 4. Turn down the volume on your amplifier, and then power it on. 5. Set the amplifier to the AV input connected to the DVD player. STEP 3 - Press the PLAY button on the front panel or remote control. The player will automatically read and identify the disc, and begin playback. STEP 2 - Press OPEN/CLOSE either on the front panel or remote control. When the tray is opened, place the disc on the tray with the label side up. Press OPEN/ CLOSE again to close the disc tray. v__) -12- The Setup Menu System Advanced Features 1. General Steps of Setup Menu a) Press the Setup button, the main setup menu appears. b) Press the Left and Right arrow buttons to highlight the icon of the desired page, then press the Down or Right arrow button to activate that page; For example, if you want to setup the video page, press Right to highlight the video icon, the video page will be displayed on the screen. Setup Items Introduction 2.1 SYSTEM SETUP The system setup options are illustrated below: The Setup Menu System Advanced Features 2.1.1 TV SYSTEM According to the Color System of the TV, you can choose the TV System. a. NTSC: Choose this settings if your DVD player is connected to a NTSC TV. b. The United States uses NTSC, while Europe uses the PAL broadcast system.If your picture is colorless and rolling, you have chosen the incorrect broadcast system.
