Before playback, read the “Notes on JPEG fi les“ on the right. Insert the disc and close the drawer. The photo menu (overview) will appear on the screen. Press to stop the slide show and go back to the photo menu. Note: You can use the button to select single fi les and make them into a slide show. Notes about JPEG fi les Depending on the size and number of JPEG fi les, it can take several minutes to read the disc. If nothing appears on the screen after a few minutes, some fi les are too large. Reduce the resolution of the JPEG fi les to less than 4 Megapixels and burn the disc again. There is no limit on the total number of fi les and folders, but the total number of fi les in the folder has to be fewer than 999. Due to different recording formats or the condition of the CD, some discs may be incompatible. When using burning software to burn JPEG fi les onto a CD-R, all the selected fi les must have the “.jpg“ or “.jpeg“ extension before they will be burned onto the CD. If the fi les have the “.jpe“ extension, they must be renamed to “.jpg“ or “.jpeg“. This recorder cannot read fi le names without the “.jpg” or “.jpeg” extension, even if the fi les appear as JPEG images in Windows Explorer. 4. 5. Using the photo disc 32122 DVD Rec_Centros_GB.indb 38 26.04.2005 11:23:39 Using the audio/photocard reader Overview About the system You can use the digital audio/photo card reader built into the DVD recorder to display on the screen images from digital cameras with the most common memory cards. MP3 audio files can also be played. You can create and play a programme list consisting of a selection of MP3 titles. You use the Loewe DVD recorder‘s remote control to operate the audio/photo card reader. When the memory card is inserted, you can use the CARD button to switch to using the audio/ photo card reader. An overview will appear of the images or MP3 files stored on the card - depending on the last method of use. If there are over 9 images stored, you can use or to go to other pages of the overview. You can manually mark and view an image, and switch to the next or previous image. You can rotate images that were taken in portrait mode, or that need to be turned upside-down. The Slide show function can be used to automatically move on to the next image. You can use the menu to specify how quickly the images should be changed (see page 41).
