Follow the instructions on the each menu screen. You also may set PBC to Off under setup. See page 19. Notes – If Parental Control is set and the disc is not within the Rating settings (not authorized), the 4-digit code must be entered and/or the disc must be authorized (see “LOCK (Parental Control)”, on page 20). –DVDs may have a region code. Your player will not play discs that have a region code different from your player. The region code for this player is 2 (two). –To watch a DVD during timer recording standby mode, press POWER and DVD to switch to DVD mode. General Features Note Unless stated otherwise, all operations described use the remote control. Some features may also be available on the Setup menu. Moving to another TITLE 1 /3DVD When a disc has more than one title, you can move to another title as follows: . Press DISPLAY, then press the appropriate numbered button (0-9) to select a title number. Moving to another CHAPTER/TRACK 1 /31 /12DivXVCD1.1DVD When a title on a disc has more than one chapter or a disc has more than one track, you can move to another chapter/track as follows: . Press Sor Tbriefly during playback to select the next chapter/track or to return to the beginning of the current chapter/track. . Press Stwice briefly to step back to the previous chapter/track. . To go directly to any chapter during DVD playback, press DISPLAY. Then, press 3/4to select chapter/track icon. Then, enter the chapter/track number using the numbered buttons (0-9). Note For two-digit numbers, press the numbered buttons (0-9) in rapid succession. Search DivXVCD1.1VCD2.0DVD 1 Press and hold Sor Tfor about two seconds during playback. The player will now go into SEARCH mode. 2 Press and hold Sor Trepeatedly for about two seconds to select the required speed: QX2, QX4, QX16, QX100 (backward) or RX2, RX4, RX16, RX100 (forward). With a Video CD, the Search speed changes: QX2, QX4, QX8 (backward) or RX2, RX4, RX8 (forward). 3 To return to playback, press PLAY B. Repeat A-B DivXVCD1.1VCD2.0DVD OffA -B A - To repeat a sequence in a title: 1 Press REPEAT A-B at your chosen starting point. A * appears briefly on the TV screen. 2 Press REPEAT A-B again at your chosen end point. A B appears briefly on the TV screen, and the repeat sequence begins. 3 To cancel the sequence, press REPEAT A-B. Time Search DivXVCD1.1VCD2.0DVD -:--:--0:20:09 The Time Search function allows you to start playing at any chosen time on the disc. 1 Press DISPLAY during playback. The on-screen display appears on the screen. The Time Search box shows the elapsed playing time of the current disc. 2 Within 10 seconds, press 3/4 to select the Time Search icon in the on-screen display. The “-:--:--” appears in the Time Search box. 3 Within 10 seconds, use the number buttons to enter the required start time. Enter hours, minutes, and seconds from left to right in the box. If you enter the wrong numbers, press CLEAR to remove the numbers you entered. Then enter the correct numbers. 4 Within 10 seconds, press OK to confirm the start time. Playback starts from the selected time on the disc.
