Most of the remote start features can be controlled through an existing factory or aftermarket remote keyless entry or alarm system. Pressing an auxiliary button on an Aftermarket system or pressing a button 3 times on a Factory keyless remote can activate a remote start using the 901. This is referred to in this manual as activating the “Green Start input wire”. *IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Primary and Optional Features -PRIMARY: These are features that must be connected in order for the system to operate properly i.e. Remote Start connections, Flashing lights, Brake Reset. Text Box: 2 USING THE REMOTE TRANSMITTER The transmitter supplied with the RS-900 system has six buttons. The button configuration of the RS-900 is Factory-set and unchangeable. The RS901 model does not include remote transmitters, as it is designed for the expansion of a “parent” remote keyless or alarm system. For hard starting engines, the unit will allow a starter crank time of up to13 seconds maximum.
