Detachable air concentrator . Cool shot button 4. Hanging loop PRIOR TO FIRST USE Check that you have removed all packaging from your hairdryer. USE • The first time the hairdryer is used, it may give off a small amount of smoke. This is because an extra layer of protective oil on the heating element is being heated up. This is quite normal and not dangerous, and will disappear after a short period of use. • To switch on the hairdryer, set the speed selector (1) to one of the three positions above 0. In the top two positions, the hairdryer operates with full air flow, while in the first position it operates with reduced air flow. • The detachable air concentrator (2) provides concentrated air supply. • If you hold the cool shot button ( ) in, the hairdryer gives out cool air. This is useful when your hair is dry and needs to be set. • To switch off the hairdryer, set the speed selector to position 0. The hairdryer can be hung up using the hanging loop (4) at the bottom of the handle. Please note: At low blower speed it is not possible to alter the temperature. CLEANING • Remove the plug from the socket for cleaning. • Clean the hairdryer with a well-wrung damp cloth and a little washing-up liquid, if required. Wipe off with a dry cloth. • Occasionally remove any dust or hair from the air intake using a brush. 10 ENVIRONMENTAL TIPS Once any electrical product is no longer functional, it should be disposed of in such a way as to cause minimum environmental impact, in accordance with the regulations of your local authority. In most cases you can take such products to your local recycling station.
