If the intake is blocked, the hairdryer will overheat. If this happens, the overheat protection will automatically shut off the power to the hairdryer. Turn off the hairdryer, and remove the plug from the wall socket. • You should not leave the hairdryer on clothes, bedding, etc. manufactured from synthetic materials and thus very susceptible to heat and easily combustible while it is switched on or still warm. • In order to avoid burns, you should avoid blowing hot air directly into the eyes or on very sensitive skin. Cord, plug and mains socket • Check regularly that the cord and plug are not damaged and do not use the hairdryer if it is, or if it has been dropped or damaged in any other way. • If the hairdryer, cord or plug is damaged, the appliance must be inspected and, if necessary, repaired by an authorised repair engineer, otherwise there is a risk of electric shock. Never try to repair the appliance yourself. • Remove the plug from the socket for cleaning. • Avoid pulling the cord when removing the plug from the socket. This is because an extra layer of protective oil on the heating element is being heated up. This is quite normal and not dangerous, and will disappear after a short period of use. 10 • To switch on the hairdryer, set the speed selector (2) to one of the two positions above 0 and select a temperature setting using the temperature selector (1). • The detachable air concentrator (4) provides concentrated air supply. Use the finger diffuser (5) to concentrate the air in numerous points over a wider area. • If you hold the cool shot button (3) in, the hairdryer gives out cool air. This is useful when your hair is dry and needs to be set. • To switch off the hairdryer, set the speed selector to position 0. The hairdryer can be hung up using the hanging loop (6) at the bottom of the handle.
