Resumen del manual

Regularly inspect the supply cord, plug, control settings, air inlets and outlets and main housing for any damage. If found damaged in any way, immediately cease use of the heater and return to Kambrook or an authorised service agent for inspection or repair. The installation of a residual current device (safety switch) is recommended to provide additional safety protection when using electrical appliances. It is advisable that a safety switch with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA be installed in the electrical circuit. See your electrician for professional advice. HOW TO OPERATE Remove your heater from its carton and associated protective wrapping, and unwind the cord to its full length and remove and protective cardboard or foam that may have been used to minimise transportation damage. Place the heater on a firm, level surface in a stable upright position. Visually inspect the air inlet and outlets to ensure no foreign material is blocking these areas. Make certain the main power button located on the front of the base is not depressed and in the OFF position. The heater must always be operated with the rear air filter in position. Plug the power cord in a 230-240 volt power outlet. To avoid an electrical circuit overload, it is recommended that no other appliances are plugged into the same circuit with your heater when you switch the unit on. Control the heater with the selector settings as follows: Turn the heater on by pressing the main control switch on the front of the base. The red neon light will illuminate when power is being supplied to the heater. Press Power on the main control panel or remote control. The heater will default to the AUTO setting. To adjust the temperature setting either increase or decrease the setting by pressing the Up and Down buttons. The Setting button will allow the unit to be set to either AUTO, COOL, LO or HIGH settings. 4 During AUTO operation the power setting is determined by the ambient temperature and that set by the consumer using the Up and Down buttons on the heater. During COOL operation the heater will only distribute cool air and the heating elements are not operational During LO operation the heater will always operate at 1000 Watts During HIGH operation the heater will always operate at 2000 Watts Note: During COOL, LO and HIGH settings the temperature display will show the ambient temperature and cannot be adjusted using the UP or DOWN buttons. Press the Oscillating button to active the oscillation function. The unit will Oscillate 40. to each side. To adjust the Oscillation direction turn the unit OFF and manually position the heater to the correct position by gently twisting the main housing of the heater. The heater has a count down timer ranging from 8 hours to 1 hour. Press the Timer button once to increase the hour setting by one hour increments. After 8 depressions the timer will be off and no figure will appear on the LCD display. This heater is fitted with an Ioniser. By turning on the Ioniser, the heater will generate and emit positive Ions into the room, which will react with negative particles in the air. The result is that these air particles will then fall to the ground resulting in cleaner air within the room. Therefore you may find a build up of particles at the base of the heater after prolonged usage in the Ionisation setting. All the control features can be operated using the supplied remote control when the main power switch located on the base of the heater is turned on and the remote is pointed directly to the front of the heater. When the heater is first switched OFF, at the conrol pad, the fan setting will remain on until the Ceramic elements cool down. This is a normal safety operation. Note: there is a tip over switch fitted to this heater. When the heater tips over it will automatically turn off. Thermoguard Overheating Safety Device Your heater is fitted with a safety device that switches off the heater in the event of overheating. Should this heater stop working, turn off the heater and inspect for blockages or air inlet or outlets.Wait at least five minutes for the protection system to reset before attempting to restart the heater. If the heater fails to operate or the safety device switches off again, return the heater to your nearest service centre for examination or repair. 5 CARE AND MAINTENANCE • Always turn off and then unplug the heater before cleaning • Use only a clean, dry cloth to clean the external surfaces of the heater only. • If the heater has collected dust or dirt inside the unit or around the elements, have the unit cleaned by a qualified service agent. Do not operate the heater in this condition. • Do not attempt to open the case of the heater at any time there are no customer serviceable parts inside. • When not in use, pack the heater, preferably in its original box for best protection and store in a cool, clean and dry location. • Regularly clean the air filter at the rear of the heat...
