Failure of the primary interconnect path results in intra-cluster communications occurring over the


redundant dedicated interconnect path. When Cluster Server is configured to send intra-cluster


communication over the LAN NIC as well, the cluster nodes will still have a working


communication path even if one of the dual-ported NICs fails.
