It is made of ABS non-corrosive FDA approved plastic. Meets U.S. Coast Guard Safety Standards Sections 33 CFR 183.410 and 183.425. Listed by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO). Attwood marine hardware, navigation lighting, interior lighting, bilge pumps, and other marine accessories are specified more than any other brand by America’s best-known boat manufacturers as original equipment. Look to Attwood for quality replacement parts and add-on marine accessories. CAUTION: The Potable Water Pump is designed to pump fresh, potable water only. It must not be used to pump gasoline or other flammable liquids. TOOLS AND MATERIALS REQUIRED: 1. Drill and suitable drill bits. 2. After installing the pump, connect the pump’s black lead wire directly to the 12 volt battery negative (-) connector. Connect the pump’s brown wire lead to one wire of an in-line fuse holder and connect the other fuse holder wire to one lead wire from the Electric Faucet. Connect the other Electric Faucet lead wire directly to the 12 volt battery positive (+) connector. (See Figure 1). Added wire must be 18 gauge or larger. An optional power ON/OFF switch, such as Attwood 7589 or 7563, may be installed as a master switch as shown in Figure 2. The pump may be threaded directly into the tank. However, this is a centrifugal pump and must be positioned lower than the source of water to operate. Do not install on a surface higher than the bottom of your fresh water supply tank. NOTE: When installing, outlet nozzle should always be higher than inlet nozzle.
