Resumen del manual


Set the RADIO TAPE/RADIO OFF switch to TAPE/RADIO OFF. 2. Open the cassette holder and insert a cassette with the open part facing the buttons. 3. Press the cassette holder lightly to shut. 4. Connect headphones to the p socket. 5. To start playback, press 1 2. – The OPE/BATT indicator lights up. 6. Adjust the sound with the VOLUME and DBB controls. 7. To fast wind, press 5. To rewind press 6. Press 9 to stop fast winding. 8. To reverse the tape direction during playback, press 1 2 DIRECTION. 9. To stop playback press 9 and the set is switched off. – The OPE/BATT indicator will go out. AUTO REVERSE – The tape direction will be automatically reversed each time the tape reaches the end. Cassette playback continues in this way, unless 9 is pressed or until the batteries are exhausted. ACCESSORIES (included) 1 x Stereo headphones 1 x Belt clip HEADPHONES & HEARING SAFETY HEARING SAFETY: Listen at a moderate volume to prevent permanent hearing damage. TRAFFIC SAFETY: Do not use headphones while driving or cycling as you may cause a traffic accident. MAINTENANCE • Clean the magnetic head after every 50 hours of operation or, on average once a month, by playing through a cleaning cassette. • Do not expose the set and cassettes to rain, moisture, sand, or excessive heat e.g. heating equipment, cars parked in direct sunlight. • Use a soft, slightly dampened chamois leather to clean the housing. Do not use any strong or corrosive cleaning agents such as thinner, benzene, etc. as these may spoil your set. PROBLEM – Cause • Solution No power – Wrong battery polarity • Insert batteries correctly – Batteries exhausted • Replace batteries No sound (see also no power) – Volume is turned down • Turn up volume Poor headphone sound/sound from one channel only – Headphone socket not fully inserted • Insert socket fully Poor cassette sound quality – Tape head dirty • Clean tape (see MAINTENANCE) Auto reverse occurs before end of tape – High friction of tape • Try fast winding the tape once Severe radio hum/distortion – FM/FM ST aerial not fully extended • Extend FM aerial fully – Set too close to TV, computer, etc. • Move set away from other electrical equipment Hum when using mains adaptor – Adaptor used is unsuitable • Use Philips SBC 6650 mains adaptor or a good quality stabilized 3V DC adaptor This set complies with the radio interference requirements of the European Community The model number can be found at the bottom of the set and the production number in the battery compartment Troubleshooting If a fault occurs, first check the points listed below before taking the set for repair. If you are unable to remedy a problem by following these suggestions, consult your dealer or service centre. Warning: Under no circumstances should you try to repair the set yourself, as this would invalidate your warranty.
