• To automatically scan through the frequency bands, hold the ‘TUNER’ button down until you see the speed of the LCD display increase. Scanning will stop when a strong signal is detected. Programming Stations 20 FM stations and 10 AM stations can be saved in memory with the ‘PRESET’ function. • Select a station to be saved in memory and press the ‘PROGRAM’ button to see ‘_ _’ appear on the LCD display. • Press ‘PRESET’ key to choose the desired channel (e.g. channel 1) then press ‘PROGRAM’ again to save. • Select another station and press ‘PROGRAM’ again, then press ‘PRESET’ to select channel 2. Press ‘PROGRAM’ again to save. Press the ‘PRESET’ button to access preset stations until the desired channel is found. CD Function The 2455AV-03 CD player accepts both 12 cm and 8 cm discs and will read CD, CD-R , CD-RW and MP3 formats. MP3 CDs With MP3 Cds, the 2455AV-03 supports a maximum of 99 folders, 999 files and a file name with a maximum of 64 characters. It has a MP3 bit range of 32k to 320k, and is compatible with MPEG Audio 1, 2, and 2.5. The MP3 sampling rate is: • MPEG1 - Layer 2/3 (32kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz) • MPEG2 - Layer 2/3 (16kHz, 22.05 kHz, 24 kHz) • MPEG3 - Layer 2/3 (8 kHz, 11.025 kHz, 12 kHz) Before opening the CD door, the LCD will show dashed lines. Pressing the ‘PLAY/PAUSE’ button again will start the disc again from where it paused. • To select a track to play press the ‘SKIP FORWARD uu| ’ or ‘SKIP BACK |tt’ button either from ‘Stop’ or ‘Pause’. Each press will change the track number by one. Searching Forward or Backward on a Track If the CD is playing, pushing and holding the ‘SKIP uu|’ button will advance through the current track until it is over, then proceed to advance through the next track as long as the button is held down. Conversely, pushing and holding the ‘SKIP |tt’ button will scan in the reverse direction through the track currently playing and continue through previous tracks as long as the button is held down. • To stop playing the disc, press the ‘STOP’ button. Repeat Playing Audio CD • To repeat one track, press the ‘REPEAT’ button one time either while playing or in pause. • To replay all tracks, press the ‘REPEAT’ button a second time either while playing or in pause. • A third press of the ‘REPEAT’ button will cancel the repeat command. MP3 CD • To repeat one track, press the ‘REPEAT’ button one time at stop, play, or pause mode. • To repeat an album, press the ‘REPEAT’ button again, and the ‘REPEAT ALBUM’ will show on the LCD Display. • Press the ‘REPEAT’ button once again to cancel. Once the desired track is reached, press the ‘PROGRAM’ button into memory. 5. Repeat steps 3 & 4 to program additional tracks. 6. Press the ‘PLAY/PAUSE’ button to start programmed playback. Note: The program will be erased when you press the STOP button twice. MP3 CD Random Play Function Pressing the ‘RANDOM’ button during CD play or stop condition will engage random play. Pressing again will cancel the function. Note: If the CD has memory programmed, the random function cannot operate until the program is cleared. Play Time Mode Pressing the ‘PLAY TIME’ button changes the time format on the LCD from elapsed time of each track to the total time remaining on the CD. ID3 Information 1.
