Begin cutting at thehairline. Using upward strokes, cut towards the middle of the head. NOTE: If hair is longer thanwanted, repeat this step with one size smaller guidecomb. Continue around the head using upwardstrokes. Now you’re ready to cutthe middle section of hair. Pick a guide comb onenumber higher than whatyou used for cutting thehairline. Using upward strokes, cutthe middle section around the head. Pick a guide comb onenumber higher than whatyou used for cutting themiddle portion of the hair. Begin cutting from thefront. Smoothing lines formedfrom cutting is easy. Usethe same guide comb fromcutting the hairline withtaper level in down position. Use a rocking motion toblend out middle cutline.Using long strokes, cutacross top of head. Comb out hair to see if youneed to do any extracutting. Use the same guide combfrom cutting top of headand blend top cutline. Ear guide combs have ataper built right in. Lengthranges from 1/8" to 1/2". Attach left ear guidecomb to your clipper. Push the taper lever upto the close cut position Start by cleaning upsideburns. Put brown Put ear trim guide onyour clipper. Hold your clipper at abouT45-degree angle. Trim slowly, moving the clipper fromback to front. Continue around each ear as shown. Clean up the necklineas shown. Put brown trim guide onyour clipper.
