Fig. . • Insert worm gear into the housing. • Insert nozzle into the threaded ring. • Put bearing ring on the worm gear and hold in place. Recess on the bearing ring must be situated on the lug in the housing. • Screw on threaded ring with nozzle clockwise. Do not tighten the threaded ring too tight. Use for: Filling artificial and natural casings with sausage meat. Operating the appliance Risk of injury Before fitting/removing attachment, wait untilthedrive has come to a standstill andpullout the mains plug. Do not reachinto the feed tube. Alwaysuse the stuffer to push food down the hole. Fig. . • Stand the mincer on a clean, level work surface. • Pull out power cord to the required length. • Put the completely assembled mincer attachment, inclined slightly to the right, on the drive. • Turn mincer attachment upwards untilit engages. • Tighten threaded ring on the mincer attachment. • Attach filling tray. • Insert pusher into filling opening. • Place a bowl or plate under the outlet opening. • Insert the mains plug. • Switch on the appliance (I). • Place the food to be processed in the filling tray. • Only use the pusher when adding more ingredients. After using the appliance: • Switch off the appliance (0). • Remove mains plug. • Pull out the pusher. • Remove filling tray. • Remove the mincer attachment Holding down the release button, turnthe attachment to the right and remove. • Disassemble mincer attachment. • Disassembly is in reverse order. • Clean all parts, see “Cleaning and servicing”. Robert Bosch Hausgerate GmbH en Cleaning and servicing Important information The appliance requires no maintenance. Thorough cleaning protects the appliance from damage and keeps it functional. Electric shock risk Fault Mincer attachment stops but the appliance does not switch off. Cause Driver is broken because the appliance was severely overloaded (e.g. by bones). Remedial action • Replace driver (see „Predeterminedbreaking point”). Never immerse thebase unit in liquids anddo not clean in the dishwasher. Before cleaning the appliance, pull out themains plug! Warning! Do not use abrasive cleaning agents. Surfaces may be damaged. Do not clean the aluminium parts (housing, worm gear and threaded ring of the mincer attachment) in the dishwasher. Harmlessdiscolouration may occur overtime. Cleaning the appliance • Pull out the mains plug. • Wipe the mincer clean with a damp cloth. If required, use a little detergent. Cleaning the attachments • Fig. . gives an overview of how to clean the individual parts. • Immediately dry perforated discs and double-sided blade and protect fromrust using a little cooking oil. Troubleshooting Fault Appliance stops but does not switch off. Cause Appliance overloaded, e.g. mincer blocked. Remedial action • Switch appliance off and wait untilit comes to a standstill. • Remove mains plug. • Remove mincer attachment and remove blockage. • Switch on appliance again. Important informationIf the fault cannot be eliminated, please contact customer service. Recipes and tips To obtain most of the nutritional value from vegetable and fruit dishes, familiarise yourself with the methods for preparing them. Do not store vegetables or fruit in water andmash them just before serving and eating. Minced steak 500 g meat60 g stale bread50 g onions20 g fat1 egg40 g breadcrumbsOil for frying Salt and pepper • Soak the bread in water and squeeze out. • Slice onions and fry in the oil until golden brown. • Wash the meat and cut into fairly smallpieces. • Put the bread, onions and meat twice through the mincer (4 mm perforated disc). • Add the egg, salt and pepper and mix everything into a homogeneous mixture. • Make 8 oval minced steaks from the mixture (approx. 1.5 cm thick) and coat with the breadcrumbs. • Fry in the hot oil. Cut into cubes. • When the meat is soft, add the liver andthe cut bread rolls and braise everythingtogether for a short time. • Leave the mixture to cool down and then put twice through the mincer (4 mm perforated disc). • Add the egg, nutmeg, salt and pepper and mix everything thoroughly. • Grease the baking tin and pour in the meat mixture. Bake for approx. 40 minutes. Homemade sausage 4.5 kg semi-fatty meat 0.5 kg fatty meat 1 glass of bone stock6–7 tsp. salt . tsp. saltpetre1 tsp. pepper (ground) 12–15 grains of pimento (ground) 5–6 garlic cloves (chopped), approx. 7 m natural casing • Put the meat through the mincer (8 mm perforated disc). • Mix the salt with the saltpetre and the spices and add to the meat mixture. Slowly add the bone stock. • Place in a cool location for 24 hours. • Attach the sausage filler attachmentto the mincer. • Pour the mixture into the natural casingand make sausages approx. 30–40 cm in length.
