Peavey acoustic guitars are carefully crafted to the highest standards using only the finest materials. By following the care and adjustment instructions in this manual, your Peavey acoustic guitar will provide years of outstanding performance and enjoyment. Features Solid spruce top Rosewood or Mahogany back & sides Scalloped braces for maximum response Mahogany neck True dovetail neck joint Diecast machine heads Construction Body Backs and sides are fabricated of the finest quality rosewood or mahogany. All tops are solid spruce with scalloped braces. The finish is extremely thin and durable, allowing the body to resonate freely for deep, powerful tone. Neck All necks are mahogany. Necks are attached with a hand-fitted dovetail joint. Dovetail joints provide superior resistance to string tension, greatly reducing the need for a costly neck reset. Pickup/Preamp System Our new preamp features three bands of EQ. An easy-access battery compartment (located on the side of the guitar) makes battery changing a simple operation. An under-saddle piezo pickup delivers smooth, dynamically sensitive response. Controls Volume The volume slider controls the overall output of the instrument. Graphic EQ The 3-band graphic equalizer provides precise tonal shaping capabilities. f Battery Check Check battery status by pushing Test button. Battery Compartment Easy access to battefy (one - 9 volt). Output Jack The output jack accepts standard guitar patch cords. To conserve battery life; be sure to unplug any patch cord when the instrument is not in use. (We recommend high-quality Peavey "shielded" patch cords.) Care for your instrument This instrument is constructed from the finest hand-selected woods which are directly affected by changes in the level of humidity. Extreme changes in the level of humidity and/or temperature can cause cracks and other damage to your instrument. To avoid this type of damage, store your instrument in its hard-shell case and use a humidifier specifically designed for acoustic guitar. In normal use, this instrument may develop hairline cracks in the finish. This is due to the normal expansion and contraction of the wood over time. These types of finish cracks are a normal part of the aging process and are not considered a defect under the terms and conditions of this limited lifetime warranty. Adjustments Your instrument has been carefully adjusted for accurate intonation and playing ease at the Peavey factory. However, your playing style and requirements may necessitate additional adjustments. These adjustments should be made by your authorized Peavey dealer. Temperature and Humidity It is important to protect your instrument from any extreme or sudden changes in temperature or humidity. You should store the instrument in its case when not using it. Strings Your instrument comes from the factory with high-quality strings. String life may be greatly extended by frequent cleaning with Peavey string cleaner. Dirt and perspiration tend to build up on the underside of the strings, so it is often necessary to slide a rag between the strings and the fingerboard. Dirt-laden strings cause tuning and intonation problems, as well as rust and corrosion. For optimum performance, strings should be changed approximately once a month, or after about every twenty-four hours of playing. Some players prefer to change strings more often. Finish Your instrument has a satin finish that is both durable and weather-resistant, but requires care. Regular cleaning is recommended. After handling, the instrument should be wiped with a dr...
