This indicator also serves as battery check. * If the indicator fails to light or lights but only dimly, replace the battery with a new one. Q RATE KNOB This adjusts the rate of the chorus effect. Rotating it clockwise quickens and deepens the effect, and counterclockwise rotation gives the opposite result. Q OUTPUT JACK Connect an amplifier or other effect to this jack. o PEDAL SWITCH This turns on or off the effect. * Adopting the FET switching system, this Peda! Switch is free from the cltck noise, therefore, even more successful live performance and studio recording are made possible. O AC ADAPTOR JACK This is to connect the AC adaptor (BOSS ACA-120. 220 or 240}, * AC operation allows long and secured performance. o DEPTH KNOB This knob controls the depth of the chorus effect. Clockwise rotation deepens the effect and vice versa. Q EFFECT LEVEL KNOB This adjusts the mixing level of the effect sound. Rotating this knob clockwise increases the amount of the effect sound and vice versa. * At fuliy clockwise position, the direct sound is equal to the effect sound. Q INPUT JACK To this jack, connect an electric or electronic musical instrument such as a bass guitar. * The unit is turned on when the plug is connected to the Input Jack. So, when the unit is not to be used, disconnect the connection cord from the Input Jack. CONNECTIONS f To AC Adaptor Jack BOSS AC Adaptor (ACA-120, 220 or 240} Plugging in the Input Jack automatically turns the unit on. Bass Guitar ( When the unit is not to be used, disconnect the connection cord from the Input Jack ) ■ OPERATION After making all the necessary connections, set the knobs as shown in the picture. Press the Pedal Switch down, and make sure that the indicator O lights up (effect is on). * tl the indicator fails to light up or lights only dimly, replace the battery with a new one ■ BATTERY REPLACEMENT USE 9V BATTERY (T) Loosen the Thumb Screw and open the Pedal (2) Take out the battery from the Battery Housing and pull up the Battery Snap Cord. (3) Connect a new battery to the Battery Snap Cord and replace it to the Battery Housing. * Be sure that the Battery Snap Cord is securely pushed in @ Put the Coil Spring to the Spring Base and close the Pedal. * Make sure that the Battery Snap Cord is not caught tn the Pedal or Coif Spring. (D Firmly tighten the screw Pedal 9V Battery Thumb Screw Spring Base Coil Spring Battery Snap Battery Housing Battery Snap Cord CHECK O RATE DEPTH o RATE Q DEPTH o Set the rate of the chorus effect with the Rate Knob 0. Set the depth of the chorus effect with the Depth Knob Q 5 E- LEVEL Adjust the level of the effect sound with the Effect Level Knob Q ■ PRECAUTIONS AC ADAPTOR * When (he unit is not to be used for a long period, remove the batter/ to prevent the trouble caused by the battery leakage. * If the battery voitage drops, effect becomes inferior or no sound is produced. To prevent this, replace the battery. • Be sure to keep the battery securely connected even white using the AC adaptor, and the unit will continue to operate even if the AC adaptor cord comes out during performance • Unplug the cord from the Input Jack when the unit is not in use, to avoid wasting the battery. Please be sure to use the BOSS ACA-120. 220 or 240 depending on the voltage system in your country.
