Be sure to write the model number of this product in the “Part #_” space. • DESCRIPTION: The Edelbrock aluminum water pump is a heavy-duty water pump for both street and racing applications. The pump is externally the same as the original equipment pump (Ford #E9TE-8505-A4A) to provide compatibility with all accessories and pulleys. It offers increased durability and cooling potential. Part #8045 is a reverse rotation water pump for 1994-1995, 5.0L V8s with serpentine drive belt. Not for early standard rotation 289-302 engines. Polished aluminum water pump Part #8046 fits the same applications as Part #8045. • INSTALLATION: Installation is the same as for original equipment water pumps. Consult service manual for specific procedures, if necessary. • CAUTION: Be sure that fan bolts don't protrude through the hub so far that they hit the water pump housing. NOTE: Remove two screws from backing plate and apply RTV silicone to gasket just before installation.
