Slide the hard disk drive or solid-state drive firmly into the connector and then reinstall the screws 2. 9. Slide the bottom cover latch to the unlocked position. Enter ThinkPad Setup to stop battery discharge. Refer to “Before replacing CRU” on page 65 for detailed instruction. 2. Turn off the computer; then disconnect the ac power adapter and all cables from the computer. Wait three to five minutes to let the computer cool. 3. Remove the keyboard. For details of removing the keyboard, see “Replacing the keyboard” on page 82. 4. If a tool for removing connectors is included in the package with the new card, use it to disconnect the cables from the card.
