Make sure the bump in the bottom faces upwards. (Fig. 2) -Beware of the hot steam that comes out of the food steamer during steaming, in the keep- warm mode or when you remove the lid.When you check food, always use kitchen utensils with long handles. -Do not reach over the food steamer while it is operating. -Do not touch the hot surfaces of the appliance. Always use oven mitts when you handle hot par ts of the appliance. -Do not move the food steamer while it is operating. -Always remove the lid carefully and away from you.
