The sounders are powered and actuated as modules via the ADM loop with Apollo/Discovery protocol. They can be used in combination with a detector or strobe, or as stand-alone device. For the latter case an optional white or red plastic lid is available. Furthermore, the sounders are equipped with an integrated dual-isolator module. Two different tone types, depending on the sounder model, are available, and they can be selected during parameterisation of the Fire Detection Control Panel Se- ries BC216. If several sounders are actuated in parallel, they are synchronized by Fire Detection Control Panels Series BC216 to generate a uniform warning tone. In case of activation, the sounder is tested acoustically by means of an integrated microphone. The address of the sounder as well as the sound level are selected by means of a DIL switch. The base sounders have been designed for indoor mounting.
