Preassembly The Preassembly and Initial Leak Test gives the recommended order of steps for receiving the Jacuzzi bath and preparing it for installation in its permanent location. Prepare a place where you can fill the bath with water and then drain the run-off. A drive-way or patio is a suitable location. Upon removing the bath from its shipping carton, set it on a protective covering, or on the shipping carton, to protect it from abrasion. Initial Inspection Make sure that no damage has occurred to your bath during shipment. Should inspection reveal any damage or defect, do not install the bath. Damage or defects claimed after the bath has begun assembly is excluded from the warranty. IMPORTANT: Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath is not responsible for any defect or damage that could have been discovered, repaired, or prevented by following this procedure. To prepare the area for installation of the freestanding bath, make sure that the floor on which the bath sits is level. 2. Place the bath in the desired location, being certain to align the drain hole over the P-trap. 3. Draw around the outside of the bath with a pencil, see Figure 2. Then remove the bath to a secure place where it will not be scratched or damaged. 4. Mark an inside dimension about 10 mm inside the outline of the bath, see Figure 2. This inside dimension will guide the position of four stablizing wood blocks. CAUTION: Under the bath there are two rails that span the width of the bath. Mark the locations of these two rails on the floor with the pencil. 5. Attach four wood blocks (2 by 4, by 10 inches length) to the floor using two screws each. Position the wood blocks as shown in Figure 3. Do not place the two mid-blocks where the two cross rails under the bath are located.
