If used over a wood deck, place a non-combustible material such as concrete pavers, stove-mat or hearth board directly beneath the fireplace to catch sparks & embers as well as protect the deck surface. Do not use flammable liquids, large amounts of wood pellets and/or multiple firelogs in the chiminea/fireplace which could produce extremely hot fires. Make sure there is plenty of ventilation completely surrounding the fireplace. Keep your fires reasonable. A fire that is too large or too hot can be very dangerous and could damage your fireplace. Although your firepit is considered a closed system , always comply with all local laws, ordinances & statutes restricting the use of outdoor open flames in your community. Consult your local fire department. Always ensure that the fire is completely out before leaving your fireplace unattended. Smother any remaining embers with sand or water. Please use caution and common sense when burning in your firepit. Failure to adhere to the safety guidelines could result in fire damage to your deck, home or yard. Assembly Instruction STEP 1: Unpack parts carefully and set aside on a flat, non-abrasive surface . STEP 2: Choose a level location for set up. STEP 3: Connect Iron Stand Part I (E) to Iron Stand Part II (F) using screws (H). as per Fig.1 and Fig.2 . STEP 4: Put decorative square top(D) on something soft and flat ( cardboard etc.).with yellow side down. Connect stand (E&F)to decorative top(D) by fixing nuts(l) and helixes of the top(D) Fig.3. STEP 5 :Turn over the entire assembly and make sure it is level with the floor. Place fire bowl (B) into assembled stand(E&F&D). Place 1-2”thick layer of sand into bottom of the bowl. STEP 6: Place wood grate (C) into the bowl (B).Make sure there is at least 1"space between the surface of the sand and the grate. STEP 7: Place mesh screen (A) on the top of the bowl (B).
