HP 3PAR Host Explorer Software offers the following new features:
•
Support for the following platforms:
1.
Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2
2.
SLES 10 and SLES 11
3.
SPARC system running Solaris 11
4.
x86 systems running Solaris 10, and 11
5.
HP-UX Systems running 11i V3
•
Support for collecting Red Hat Cluster information in HP 3PAR Host Explorer Software for
RHEL.
•
Provides an independent HP 3PAR Host Explorer for VMware product for Microsoft Windows
Server 2008 and 2012. HP 3PAR Host Explorer for VMware has the following new features:
a.
Option to separately configure ESX Hosts has been added
b.
Concurrent data collection of the configured vCenters and ESX Hosts for improved
performance.
c.
At every Refresh Interval, only the incremental Host data is transferred to HP 3PAR Storage
System for improved performance.
d.
If the transfer to HP 3PAR Storage System using TPD TCL through SSL Port 5783 fails,
collected data is transferred through SSH (if SSH is enabled)
HP 3PAR Host Explorer Software features
HP 3PAR Host Explorer Software offers the following features:
•
Collects the following information and sends it to the storage system over an FC or iSCSI
connection:
1.
Host operating system and version
2.
Fibre Channel and iSCSI HBA details
3.
Multipath driver and current multipath configuration
4.
Cluster configuration information
5.
Device and path Information
•
Gathered information is visible for uncreated hosts and assists with host creation and diagnosing
host connectivity issues.
Fixes
This section provides a list of issues fixed in this release:
•
TpdHostInfo fails to return HBA info for 3.x Linux kernels
•
Host Explorer for RHEL does not show Red Hat Cluster information
