The HP 3PAR Host Explorer collects the following information and sends it to the HP 3PAR
StoreServ Storage System:

Host operating system and version
◦
Fibre Channel and iSCSI HBA details
◦
Multipath driver and current multipath configuration
◦
Cluster configuration information
◦
Device and path Information

The information gathered by HP 3PAR Host Explorer is visible for uncreated hosts and this
information is utilized for host creation and diagnosing host connectivity issues.
Fixes
The issue fixed for this release:
•
After installing HP 3PAR Host Explorer for VMware, the HEVMwareService service is not
started.
The user is unable to start the HEVMwareService service manually from the GUI.
Known issues
The known issue for this release:
•
While extracting the HP 3PAR Host Explorer installer,
HostExplorer-VMware-2.1.1-0.x64.exe appears for a few seconds, instead of
HostExplorer-VMware-2.1.2-0.x64.exe.
