Fixes
N/A
Prerequisites
• Windows Server 2008 only: In certain situations, resources do not follow the Preferred Owners
List order during failover. See the Microsoft Knowledge Base article KB950181 for more informa-
tion.
• A physical disk resource may unexpectedly fail or go offline when the IsAlive function is run on a
Windows Server 2008 cluster node. See the Microsoft Knowledge Base article KB953652 for
more information.
• Immediately after installing XP Cluster Extension, bringing a resource online might fail with the
error Create process to execute command "horcmstart instance" failed. This
error occurs because the XP Raid Manager environment path variable value is not reflected for
the XP Cluster Extension resource. If you experience this problem, restart the cluster service on the
affected cluster node to resolve the issue. After you restart the cluster service, this error message
will not appear again.
• In a Server Core or Hyper-V Server environment, after the installation of XP Cluster Extension, the
XP RAID Manager-related path environment variable value is not updated correctly to XP Cluster
Extension. To work around this issue, re-login to the Windows session on the cluster nodes or reboot
the cluster nodes.
