When the microphone sensitivity is set to ‘high’, the baby unit picks up all sounds. Note:The sensitivity of the baby unit can only be changed when there is a connection between the baby unit and the parent unit. 1 Set the microphone sensitivity control to the desired level (Fig. 16). The power-on light on the baby unit turns yellow when a sound is transmitted (Fig. 17). , Note:You can use your own voice as a sound reference. Note:When the microphone sensitivity of the baby unit is set to ‘high’, it picks up more sounds and therefore transmits more often. As a result, the units consume more power. 10 EngliSh adjustable loudspeaker volume You can adjust the volume on the parent unit to suit your surroundings. Turn the volume control of the parent unit to the volume you prefer (Fig. 18). Note:When the volume on the parent unit is set to a high level, it consumes more power. Sound level lights The parent unit continuously monitors the sound level in your baby.s room and the sound level lights let you know if there is any activity. If your baby cries, you see the sound level lights light up on the parent unit. -As long as the baby unit does not detect a sound, all sound level lights on the parent unit are out. -When the baby unit picks up a sound, one or more sound level lights on the parent unit go on. How many lights go on depends on the loudness of the sound picked up by the baby unit. -The sound level lights also operate when the parent unit is set to a low volume. nightlight The baby unit has a gentle nightlight that helps to soothe your baby back to sleep. 1 Press the baby unit nightlight to switch the nightlight on and off (Fig. 19). Channel selector Always make sure that the channel selectors inside the compar tments of both units are set to the same channel. With these channel selectors, you can select sixteen different channel positions. If you experience interference from other baby monitors, radios, TVs etc. that use the same channel, select a different channel. 1 Remove the lids of both units. Baby unit: (Fig. 3) , -Inser t a coin or screwdriver into the groove of the locking knob (1), turn the locking knob anticlockwise (2) and remove the lid. -If there are batteries in the compar tment, remove them. Parent unit: (Fig. 5) , -Slide the lid downwards to remove it. -Remove the batter y pack from the compar tment.
