Alarm 1 Indicator OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS POWER SUPPLY * Place the Clock Radio on a level surface away from direct sunlight or excessive heat. * Install one 9 volt battery (not included) in battery compartment. Clock and alarm memory will be retained during a power interruption. During battery backup operation, the display will not light Up, but the correct time will be maintained internally. * Plug AC cord into AC 120V 60Hz outlet only. NOTE: When placing your clock radio on a lacquered or natural finish, protect your furniture with a cloth or other protective material. CLOCK SETTING THE TIME 1. Press and hold the TIME SET Button. 2. Press the desired time, release the FAST Button (9) and press the SLOW Button (8) to advance the setting slowly to the desired time. 3. Release the TIME SET (7) Button. RADIO OPERATION 1. Slide the FUNCTION Switch (4) to ON position. 2. Slide the BAND Switch (11) to AM or FM. 3. Use the TUNING Control (12) to select desired station. 4. Adjust the VOLUME Control (10) to desired level. ALARM SETTING THE ALARM TIME ALARM 1 1. Press and hold the ALARM1 SET Button (1). 2. Press the FAST Button (9) to advance the setting quickly. When nearing the desired time, release the FAST Button (9). 3. Press the SLOW Button (8) to advance setting slowly to the desired time. 4. Release the ALARM 1 SET Button (1). ALARM 2 Follow the same procedures as above for setting Alarm 1. SETTING THE ALARM Set the Alarm Time. (Refer to "SETTING THE ALARM TIME" for more details) Set the Alarm Switch to Alarm 1, Alarm 2 or Alarm 1+2 to activate the appropriate alarm, In Alarm 1+2 setting both Alarm 1 and Alarm 2 are activated. TO WAKE TO BUZZER 1. Slide the Volume Control (10) to BUZZER position. TO WAKE TO RADIO 1. Slide the FUNCTION Switch (4) to ON position. 2. Slide the BAND Switch (11) to AM or FM. 3. Use the TUNING Control (12) to select desired station. 4. Adjust the VOLUME Control (10) to desired level. 5. Slide the FUNCTION Switch (4) to AUTO position. NOTE: Alarm or Radio sound will continue for 2 hours past the alarm setting. 1. Press the SNOOZE Control (5) to silence alarm for approximately 7 minutes. (When pressing and holding the Snooze button, the clock display will show the last digit of the minute and running second of current time.) 2. Slide the FUNCTION Switch (4) to OFF position or press the "TIME SET' Button (7) to cancel ALARM. SLEEP TIMER Make sure the FUNCTION Switch (4) is not in the ON position, otherwise clock radio will not turn off after sleep period ends. 59 MINUTE SLEEP TIMER: Press the SLEEP Button (6) to have radio play for 59 minutes, before automatically shutting off. VARIABLE-LENGTH SLEEP TIMER: Press and hold the SLEEP Button (6). Press the FAST Button (9) to set the maximum sleep period to 0:59. To set a shorter sleep period, press the SLEEP button (6) together with the SLOW Button (8) until it shows the exact time you wish the radio to continue to play. Press the TIME SET button (7) to cancel the sleep function and turn off radio before the sleep time ends.
