This allows you to program eachtransmitter to more than one vehicle in two car families and also allows youto change which button or buttons control certain functions of the system. (Example: Transmitter channel 5, shown below, can be programmed toactivate Receiver channel 2.) Refer to the chart below for access to each ofthe transmitter channels, and for the standard factory button assignments. Although the system in the vehicle has either a 3, 4, or 5 channelRECEIVER, depending on the model, the transmitters included with thesystem are 7 channel transmitters. This allows you to program eachtransmitter to more than one vehicle in two car families and also allows youto change which button or buttons control certain functions of the system. (Example: Transmitter channel 5, shown below, can be programmed toactivate Receiver channel 2.) When the 15 second time limit is allowed to expire, the system willautomatically exit program mode. This is indicated by a long "chirp" from thesiren. Additionally, any time the ignition key is turned off while programming, thesystem will immediately exit program mode. This is also indicated by a long"chirp" from the siren. These steps must be initiated within 15 seconds of the ignition switch beingturned on. TO PROGRAM ADDITIONAL TRANSMITTERS: Note: The programming information described below assumes that thedefault transmitter is being used and the Lock & Unlock icons are on separatebuttons. If you have the optional transmitter with the Lock/Unlock icon on the same button, use letter "B" reference below for programming, (B programming not available on all models), Also, where indicated that the siren will emit a long chirp tone, the optional horn may be connected instead of or along with the siren in which case either or both the horn and siren may sound. If the system you have is a keyless entry unit and not an alarm, there may be no sounding device. For units with a toggle switch instead of a pushbutton switch, where indicated to press and release the pushbutton, instead move the toggle switch on then off. 1. (a) Enter the vehicle and turn the ignition key to the "on" position. (b) Enter the vehicle and turn the ignition key to the "on" position. 2. (a) The dash LED will flash one time, and the siren will "chirp" 1 timeindicating the system is ready to accept programming for channel 1, Arm/Lock and Panic.
