Should a power interruption occur the clock will continue to run, however, time keeping will not be accurate. If the optional battery is not installed in case of the AC power failure, the clock will go through the automatic msf setting. You will need to reset the alarm when power is restored. Battery back-up is designed to operate for a short period only. If the unit is not to be used for a prolonged period, remove the battery to avoid battery leakage. In the interests of environmental safety : dispose of batteries safely. Radio controlled clock (automatic clock) operation Once you plug in the power cable and install the back-up batteries in the battery compartment (2). 1 All the segments go solid for 2 seconds (LCD panel back-light will come on automatically). 2 The letters “LON” and the rc signal receiver symbol will flash. 3 After a few seconds the display will show “— : — “ with the second section “00”. 4 When the RC signal has been received and decoded successfully, the second section starts counting up. The real time clock is updated by the signal which goes solid and immediately switches to the Auto Run Mode. 4 If the RC signal has not been received and decoded successfully 1 Your unit will stay in “0:00” with all the symbols cleared and will stop receiving the RC signal after 15 minutes. 2 Press the mode button (8) once to switch the unit into self quartz oscillation Auto Run Mode. This is normal. b) Please do not place the RC signal receiver (1) near any electronic or electrical products to avoid any interference (e.g. TV set, computer, refrigerator etc). Clock operation (operate without RC signal) Your clock is designed to operate by either synchronizing with the RC signal or built-in quartz oscillation, which means your clock can always be working even after you have left the RC signal transmitting area. Weak or no RC signal is detected: When there is a weak RC signal (not enough for synchronizing), the “0:00” will appear. Please set the clock manually. (Please refer to the clock setting section). 5 View your clock functions with mode button Your clock is designed to view its varied functions by pressing mode button (8) Please see below chart for reference: Auto run (real time) mode Set clock (real time) Set Date (real time) Review the world time Set City (real time) set alarm 2 Set alarm 1 NOTE: When no button has been pressed for 15 seconds and is not in auto run mode your unit will switch back into auto run mode automatically.
