Note that some parts may be shown on more than one illustration because they are also used with other assemblies on your tiller. Each illustrated part has a REF. NO. right next to it. This REF. NO. also appears in the first column of the parts list that accompanies the illustration. The second column of the parts list shows the PART NO. given to that particular part. USE THIS PART NO. TO ORDER THE PART. Under the DESCRIPTION column, the capitalized words show the name of the part or assembly. Additional descriptive information is often given to help identify the location or function of the part. The fourth column shows how many (QTY.) of each part is used in the illustration. If a part is used more than once on the tiller, you can determine how many times and where on the tiller by looking at the Numerical Index of parts in the back of this catalog. This index shows the page and Ref. No. of all the parts. Thus, if you know the part number, but do not know its name, location, or use, the Index refers you to the proper page and reference number. The fifth column shows whether or not a part REPLACES an earlier part number. Sometimes it reflects a simple number change, or an improvement in design or materials.
