Resumen del manual

4. The sander is now ready to use. OPERATING THE PAD SANDER Disconnect the power plug from the AC power source before any assembly, adjustments, or adding/removing accessories. Following this preventative step reduces the risk of the sander coming on accidentally and the risk of damage to the workpiece and injury to the operator. Remove components from carton and examine contents carefully. Do not discard carton and packing until components are examined. 10 2. Push the Dust Collector all the way into the opening at the rear of the sander. The collector should fit snug in the adapter. If the collector is not held firmly in place, replace the "O" ring. INSTALLING THE SANDPAPER INSTALLING THE SANDPAPER: The Pad Sander uses 1/4-sheet size sandpaper. It is held in place by two clamps on each end of the sander. Depress the clamp release lever on one end and slide the sandpaper under the clamp. Repeat for the other end to complete installing sandpaper. ABRASIVE DISKS: Only use Abrasive Disks having a hook and loop fastening system and with holes that match the holes on the bottom of this sander. INSTALLING THE SANDPAPER "O" Ring Dust Collection Bag Push all the way in for a snug fit FIGURE 2. ATTACHING THE DUST COLLECTION BAG USING THE PAD SANDER: 1. Prepare the workpiece according to instructions in this manual. 2. Plug the sander into an approved power source. 3. Turn on the sander by depressing the ON/OFF switch on the front. 4. Hold the sander against the workpiece with a firm grip. 5. Sand the workpiece in a circular motion. Using a straight in-line motion can cause uneven patterns to result. Do not hold the Pad Sander in one spot for prolonged periods. This can cause the sander to overheat as well as causing scorching on the workpiece. Damage to the Pad Sander and workpiece could result. Always wear approved safety eyewear and appropriate dust filters or respirators when using this tool. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING CLEANING: To avoid accidents, be sure to disconnect the tool from the electrical power source before any cleaning or maintenance. The tool can be cleaned by using compressed dry air. If compressed air is not available, a soft natural bristle paint brush will work. Always wear safety goggles when cleaning tools with compressed air. Avoid using certain cleaning agents and solvents. Chemicals like gasoline, carbon tetrachloride, acetone, paint thinner or ammonia products can damage the plastic parts of the tool. ACCESSORIES Use only accessories that are recommended by the manufacturer for your model. Accessories that may be suitable for one tool may become hazardous when used on another tool. Always attach grounded (3-prong) extension cords to grounded (3-hole) outlets. If you must use an extension cord, be sure that the gauge is large enough to carry the amount of current necessary for your power tool. If not, your tool may experience a loss of power, excessive voltage drop or overheating. The smaller the gauge number, the heavier the cord (see table on next page).
