Nylon case included. #45344 Page 1 Operation The Spotting Scope is equipped with a system of lenses that magnifies light beams to provide a high quality image to the user This product can be equipped with a tripod (not included). 1. After taking the Spotting Scope out of the case, remove the protective lens caps. 2. Make sure the scope is fully extended before using. To extend the scope, hold the Spotting Scope with one hand and gently pull on the eye piece with the other hand. 3. While looking through the Spotting Scope, rotate the eyepiece to focus in on the obj ect being viewed (see below). 4. Use of a tripod (not included) will provide added stability resulting in an improved image. Use the mounting socket to attach a tripod. To not over-tighten Ocular Eyepiece the screw when attaching the tripod. \ Note: Always fully extend \ Warning: Never use this Spotting Scope to look at the sun. Severe eye damage could occur. 5. Maintaining the Spotting Scope: Never place the scope in water or use in the rain. The scope is moisture resistant but not waterproof. Add a small amount of lens cleaning solution to a soft cloth to clean the lenses. Never pour the lens cleaning solution directly on the lens. When the scope is moved from a cold environment into a building, you may see condensation form on the lens. This is a perfectly normal reaction which will disappear in a period of about one hour.
