We design and manufacture consumer products with the safety of you, our valued customer, foremost in mind. In addition, we ask that exercise a degree of care when using any electrical appliance and adhere to the following precautions: IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS • •• Do not immerse the motor base, plug or cord in water or any other liquid. • •• Always use the appliance on a dry, level surface. • •• Always turn the power off at the power outlet and then remove the plug when the appliance is not being used and before cleaning. • •• Regularly inspect the supply cord, plug and actual appliance for any damage. If found damaged in anyway, immediately cease use of the appliance and return the entire appliance to the nearest authorised Breville Service Centre for examination, replacement or repair. • •• The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision. • •• Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. • •• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, touch hot surfaces, or become knotted. • •• Do not place this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or where it could touch a heated oven. • •• This appliance is for household use only. Do not use this appliance for anything other than its intended use. Do not use outdoors. • •• The installation of a residual current device (safety switch) is recommended to provide additional safety protection when using electrical appliances. It is advisable that a safety switch with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA be installed in the electrical circuit supplying the appliance. See your electrician for professional advice. Dry thoroughly. 1. Place the filter surround on the motor base then sit the stainless steel strainer dish on top of the filter surround. 2. Fit the small cone (fig 1) onto the drive shaft and push down lightly. For larger fruits, place the large cone on top of the small cone, after the small cone has been correctly positioned onto the the juicing cone will begin to rotate. drive shaft (fig 2). To stop, lift the fruit off the cone. fig.2 fig.1 Juicing will automatically stop. HANDY HINTS • •• Move the fruit from side to side against the cone whilst juicing to extract maximum juice. • •• More juice is obtained from fruit juiced at room temperature. 3. Ensure that the anti-drip stop is pushed down. 4. Plug the juicer into a 230/240v power outlet and switch on. 5. Cut the citrus fruit in half and press fruit down onto the cone. The motor will automatically start and DO NOT PRESS SO HARD AS TO STOP THE MOTOR. • •• After each use, switch off the juicer at the power outlet and unplug. • •• Disassemble the unit and wash all removable parts in warm, soapy water. • •• Do not place these parts in the dishwasher as the high water temperature and harsh detergents will ultimately warp or scratch these parts. It is best to rinse or wash all removable parts immediately as dried citrus pulp is difficult to remove and may stain. If any staining does occur, wipe the affected part/s with undiluted dishwashing liquid and rinse thoroughly. • •• Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth.
