Smart Reader Capture images of business cards or documents 1Tap Start > Smart Reader. 2Rotate the device anti-clockwise to the landscape orientation. 3Tap BizCard or Document. 4Align the business card or document in the screen. •For business cards, you must align the corners of the card with the corners of the frame (the frame will turn green when aligned). 5Press the Camera key to capture the image. •If you have activated the BizCard automatic capture setting, the device will automatically capture the image once the card is aligned in the frame. •For best results, place business cards or documents on a flat, level surface and ensure adequate lighting. 6Tap Save. 7Tap OK. Translate text 1Tap Start > Smart Reader. 2Rotate the device anti-clockwise to the landscape orientation. 3Tap Translation. 4Tap to select a translation type. 5Align the text in the screen. 6Press the Camera key to capture the image. 7Draw a rectangle over the area you want to translate. 8Tap . •To check the translated word, tap . •To draw a new rectangle, tap . Smart Search Search inside the device 1Tap Start > Smart Search. 2Tap the My Phone tab (if necessary). 3Tap the All drop-down menu and select a category. 4Tap the text input field. 5Enter a letter or a word of the data to search and tap . •Any data including the letter or word you have entered will be listed. 6Tap the data you want to access. Search on the web 1Tap Start > Smart Search. 2Tap the Web tab (if necessary). 3Tap the Google drop-down menu and select between Google and Bing. 4Tap the text input field. 5Enter a letter or a word of the data to search on the web and tap . •Any data including the letter or word you have entered will be listed. 6Tap the data you want to access. Web applications Web browsing with Opera Browse the web 1Tap Start > Opera Browser. 2Scroll through the web page. 3Navigate web pages by tapping the following controls: Return to the previous page Open a favourite web page Open a new tab or page, or page you have previously accessed Open the homepage Open the browser menu Bookmark your favourite pages 1Tap Start > Opera Browser. 2Tap > Saved Pages. 3Tap . 4Enter a name for the web page, the web address, and select a folder (you can add a new folder by tapping Add new folder in the drop-down menu). 5When you are finished, tap . Search Widget 1Tap Start > Search Widget. 2Enter a letter or a word of the data to search in Bing Search and tap . Streaming Player Stream media from the internet 1Tap Start > Streaming Player. 2Tap . 3Enter the URL of a streaming media file. 4Tap Connect. 5During playback, use the following controls: Icon Adjust the volume Pause playback Resume playback Stop playback Zoom in or out Midomi Search for song information by singing or humming the song 1Tap Start > Midomi. 2Tap the Sing tab (if necessary). 3Tap the area of the screen that reads Tap and sing or hum and begin singing or humming the song. 4When you are finished singing or humming, tap the area that reads RECORDING. The Midomi service will search for a match and return the results. Search for song information by grabbing the song from an audio source 1Tap Start > Midomi. 2Tap the Grab tab (if necessary). 3Tap the area of the screen that reads Tap and hold to a speaker and place the device near the audio source. 4When you are finished, tap the area that reads RECORDING. RSS Reader Subscribe to RSS feeds 1Tap Start > RSS Reader. 2Tap a feed category. 3Tap Add Feed. 4Tap Add RSS/ATOM URL. 5Enter the address of an RSS feed and tap Done. 6Enter the name of the RSS feed and set a feed category. 7Tap Add. To subscribe to RSS feeds by searching, 1Tap Start > RSS Reader. 2Tap a feed category. 3Tap Add Feed. 4Tap Search for Feeds. 5Use the input panel to enter a keyword and tap . 6Tap a feed. 7Tap Add > OK. Update and read RSS feeds 1Tap Start > RSS Reader. 2Tap a category > a feed. 3Tap Update. •Your device will attempt to connect to the internet. If necessary, activate your internet connection. 4Tap Done. 5Tap a headline and a link.
