Please note that removing the USB data cable or battery during the upgrade may seriously damage your mobile phone. NOTE: LG reserves the right to make firmware updates available only for selective models at its own discretion and does not guarantee the availability of the newer version of the firmware for all handset models. Settings LG Mobile Phone Software update via Over-the- Air (OTA) This feature allows you to update the firmware of your phone to the newer version conveniently via OTA without connecting the USB data cable. This feature is only available if and when LG makes the newer version of the firmware available for your device. To check if there is a new software version for you mobile phone go to Settings > About phone > Software update > Software update check. NOTE: Your personal data from internal phone storage —including information about your Google account and any other accounts, your system/application data and settings, any downloaded applications and your DRM licence-might be lost in the process of updating your phone's software. Therefore, LG recommends that you back up your personal data before updating your phone's software. LG does not take responsibility for any loss of personal data. Sync your phone with your 2 computer You can use the LG PC Suite to sync Outlook contacts 3 and calendar with your phone and PC. Using PC Suite you can update the firmware on your phone to the latest version. 4 Installing the LG PC Suite 5 Use the LG PC Suite installer pre-loaded in the phone memory. 6 1 Connect your phone to your computer using a USB 7 cable. When the ‘USB connected’ screen appears on your phone, tap ‘Turn on USB storage’ and select ‘OK’ to display the ‘USB storage in use’ screen. On your computer, the connected phone is recognised as a removable disk. Navigate to this removable disk and open the LGE folder. Copy the entire pc_suite folder to your computer. Once the pc_suite folder is copied to your computer, select 'Turn off USB Storage' on your phone. Disconnect your phone from the computer. On your computer, go to the pc_suite folder, double-click LGInstaller.exe and follow the onscreen instructions to install LG PC Suite.
