Even though it both washes and dries it is very simple. For Washing only - select a Programme Optional Wash Features. For Washing and Drying - select a Programme Optional Wash Features and a Drying Time. For Drying only - select a Heat Setting and a Drying Time. The machine makes all of the other decisions for you. The following pages explain the settings in much more detail. Wash Programmes You select programmes on your Hotpoint Washer Dryer by turning the Programme Selector clockwise until the programme you want is at the top. The machine will automatically wash at the lower wash temperature. (See Chart on page 11.) Do not turn the Selector anti-clockwise. If you overshoot, go round again. Do not turn the Selector when it is pulled out. If you want to select a different programme, push the Selector in before turning it. Prewash Turn Selector to Use a Prewash for really dirty clothes, like football kit and nappies. You can select Prewash before any programme except for ^ fabrics. When it has finished, the machine will stop at the green symbol ►•4. Push the Programme Selector in and then select the main wash you want in the normal way.
