The liquid line drier cannot filter out all of the particulates because of the refrigerant flow bypassing it during harvest. With mild system contamination, it is not necessary to remove the filter/drier in the suction line. If this is a severe system contamination, follow the clean up procedures published in our Manitowoc technical manuals, ultimately leaving a suction line filter/drier in the system.
