Note: • If the Picture Mode is set to Game or PC, this feature will be grayed out. • The differences may not always be noticeable (for the best result use lower settings as picture quality can be lost if the setting is too high). Chapter 7: Picture and sound controls Chapter 7: Picture and sound controls Auto Brightness Sensor When the Auto Brightness Sensor feature is set to On, the TV will automatically optimize the backlighting levels to suit ambient light conditions. 1 From the PICTURE menu, highlight Advanced Picture Settings and press OK . 2 Press B or b to select Auto Brightness Sensor Settings and press OK . 3 Press B or b to highlight Auto Brightness Sensor. 4 Press C or c to select On or Off and press . OK Note: When the Picture Mode is set to AutoView, this feature will be automatically set to On and grayed out. Backlight Adjustment Pro This feature adjusts the backlight so that it can change to match the ambient light conditions. 1 From the PICTURE menu, highlight Advanced Picture Settings and press OK . 2 Press B or b to select Auto Brightness Sensor Settings and press OK . 3 Press B or b to highlight Backlight Adjustment Pro and press OK . The Backlight Control Level window will appear. 4 Press OK to display the adjustment window. Press C or c to select the point and press B or b to adjust the level. The adjustment range is from 0 to 100. Backlight Adjustment Pro 100 0 Backlight Control Level Control Level Ambient Light 37 Cancel Reset 5 Press OK to fix the adjustment. To cancel the adjustment when selecting a point, select Cancel on the screen. To revert the adjustments of all points to the factory defaults, select Reset on the screen and press OK . Note: If the Auto Brightness Sensor is set to Off, this feature will be grayed out. ColorMaster™ The ColorMaster™ feature allows you to adjust standard colors. 1 From the PICTURE menu, highlight Advanced Picture Settings and press OK . 2 Press B or b to select ColorMaster, press C or c to select On, and then press EXIT . Base Color Adjustment When ColorMaster™ is set to On, the list of base colors will be displayed. You can select a base color to adjust. 1 From the PICTURE menu, highlight Advanced Picture Settings and press OK . 2 Press B or b to select Base Color Adjustment and press OK . The Base Color Adjustment window will appear. 3 Press B or b to highlight the color you want to adjust, and then press c. 4 Press C or c to select either Hue, Saturation, or Brightness. 5 Press B or b to adjust the setting. 6 Repeat steps 3 through 5 to adjust any other color. To revert the adjustments to the factory defaults, select Reset on the screen and press . OK Chapter 7: Picture and sound controls Chapter 7: Picture and sound controls Color temperature To adjust the color temperature: 1 From the PICTURE menu, highlight Advanced Picture Settings and press OK . 2 Press B or b to select Color Temperature and press OK . 3 Press B or b to highlight Color Temperature. 4 Press C or c to adjust the level. The adjustment range is 0 (warm) to 10 (cool). Then, press EXIT . Note: When the Picture Mode is set to AutoView, the adjustment range is -5 to +5. To adjust RGB Offset and RGB Gain: 1 From the PICTURE menu, highlight Advanced Picture Settings and press OK . 2 Press B or b to select Color Temperature and press . 3 Press B or b to highlight the menu you want to adjust, and then press C or c to adjust the setting. OK Note: When Picture Mode is set to AutoView, only the Color Temperature setting will be available. To revert the adjustments to the factory defaults: Select Reset in step 1 above and press OK . Viewing the Control Visualization window This feature displays a histogram and control curve illustrating the brightness of the TV. 1 From the PICTURE menu, highlight Control Visualization and press OK . The histogram window will appear. Control Visualization Distribution Number Of Pixels Brightness Control Curve Output Input 2 Press RETURN to close the window and go back to menu. If no key is pressed within 10 minutes, it closes automatically. Using the TheaterLock™ feature The TheaterLock™ feature allows you to “lock” items in the PICTURE menu that affect the picture display. These items will be grayed out and unavailable when the TheaterLock is set to On. 1 From the PICTURE menu, highlight TheaterLock. 2 Press C or c to select On, and then press EXIT . Chapter 7: Picture and sound controls Chapter 7: Picture and sound controls Adjusting the audio Muting the sound Press MUTE to partially reduce (1/2 Mute) or turn off (Mute) the sound. Each time you press MUTE , the mute mode will change in the following order: 1/2 Mute Mute Volume If the closed caption mode is set to Off when you select “Mute” mode, the closed caption feature is automatically activated if the TV program is Closed Captioned.
