TheaterWide 2 picture size example TheaterWide 3 picture size (For Letter box programs with subtitles) • The picture is non-uniformly enlarged—The picture is stretched wider to fill the width of the screen, but only slightly stretched taller. •A small part of the picture at the top and bottom is hidden. To view the hidden areas (such as subtitles or captions), see “Scrolling the TheaterWide picture” on page 36. Full picture size (For 16:9 format programs) • The picture is non-uniformly enlarged. If you are receiving a 4:3 format program, the picture is stretched wider to fill the width of the screen, but not stretched taller. •None of the picture is hidden. The POP program can come from a TV broadcast or an external source, such as a VCR. To display a TV broadcast in the POP window: 1. Press SPLIT to display the POP window. While “POP” is on the screen, press the Channel Number buttons (0–9 and 100). •To change to the next programmed channel, press POP CH yz. If the V-CHIP feature is active and you try to watch a TV program that exceeds your set rating limits, the program will be blocked (see “Using the V-CHIP menu” on page 42).
