yyBe careful when disposing of the product. The touch pen and cradle consists of a lithium- polymer battery and plastic material. Burning can be dangerous, so dispose of it according to local regulations. yyDo not remove the charging cable using excessive force. This could damage the charging port and PC. yyDo not handle the touch pen and cradle with excessive force. If you use the touch pen and cradle with excessive force, you may leave foreign substances on the screen. Step of using the Pentouch program Follow the steps below to use the Pentouch function. 1 Check the system requirements before installation. 2 Install the Pentouch program from the installation CD. 3 Pair the pen and the dongle. 4 Connect the PC and the TV. 5 Configure the PC screen. 6 Activate the Pentouch mode on the TV. 7 Start the Pentouch program. NOTE yyYou must log in as an administrator to install or remove the included software. yy Make sure to install the drivers found on the CD provided. yy You can also download this program from the LG Electronics website. yy Make sure to close all running applications before installing the drivers. yyRemove old version of the Pentouch program installed on your PC before re- installing or installing new version. Installing the Pentouch Program Follow the steps described in this manual to install the program. 1 Prepare your computer and start it. 2 After the computer starts, insert the CD provided. The installation screen appears automatically. (If the installation screen is not displayed automatically, access My computer and then click LG and index.htm to view the installation screen.) 3 Click [Install the Pentouch Program] in the installation window. The default folder is used for installation. A window appears to indicate that the installation was completed successfully. 4 In Windows XP, the [Found New Hardware Wizard] installs your driver automatically. 5 Restart your computer after the installation. System Requirements Make sure that the drivers are installed properly to allow proper operation of the touch pen. yyWindows 7 Starter Edition is not supported. Supported Operating System Windows XP 32 bit Windows Vista Windows 7 32 bit 64 bit NOTE yyDisconnect the USB dongle first to install the program. Removing the Pentouch Program If there is a problem with the Pentouch program or if an error occurs while using the program, follow the steps below to remove the program, and then reinstall them. Pairing between Touch Pen and Dongle What is Pairing? You need to pair the touch pen and the dongle before using the touch pen. Once paired, you do not need to pair them again unless you: yyBought a new pen yyReplaced the old pen with a new one yyAttempt to pair a new touch pen for using two pens simultaneously 1 On your computer, select [Start] > [Control Panel] > [Add/Remove Programs] to remove the Pentouch program. - The installed Pentouch program: LG Pentouch TV 2 Click [Yes]. A window appears telling you that the program/driver has been removed. 3 Please reboot your PC after removing the program. Things to Know Before Pairing yyThis program allows pairing of up to two pens and one dongle. yyIf you want to use two pens simultaneously, they must be paired with your dongle one at a time. yyPairing is not possible if a paired pen is currently in use. yyIf you pair a new touch pen when two pens have already been paired with your dongle, all the previous pairing data is deleted. Touch pen Operation Pairing for the First Time Once paired, you can use the touch pen in the following ways. 1 Powering on - Press the (Power) button once. The red and green LEDs will remain lit to indicate that the power is on. 2 Powering off - Press the (Power) button for more than 3 seconds and release it. The red LED will blink 3 times and the pen will be turned off. 3 Pressing the Touch Home button while using the touch pen - In the Pentouch program: Shows or hides the toolbar of the feature. - In Windows: Works in the same way as the right-click function.
