When usingthis appliance, alwaysexercise basic safety precautions,including the following: 1) Save theseinstructions- The safety and operation instructionsshould be retainedfor future reference. 2) All warningson the applianceand in theoperating instructions shouldbe followed. 3) Cleaning-Unplug TV fromthe wall outletbefore cleaning. Do not useliquid cleaners oraerosol cleaners. Use only adamp cloth forcleaning. Exceptions: Some productsare designed foruninterrupted service, eg. Cable TVconverters, unplugging such accessoriesmay result inloss of authorizationcodes. In suchcases, please follow instructions for unpluggingsuch devices asprovided by theaccessories manufacturer. 4)Attachments-Do not use attachments not recommendedby the TVmanufacturer as theymay cause hazards. 5) Waterand moisture-Do not place this TVnear water, for example,near a bathtub,wash bowl, kitchen sink, orlaundry tub, ina wet basement,or near aswimming pool. 6)Accessories - Donot place thisTV on anunstable cart, stand,tripod, bracket ortable. The TVmay fall causing seriousinjury to someone,and serious damageto the appliance.Use only witha cart, stand, tripod, bracket,or table recommendedby the manufacturer`s,or sold withthe TV. Any mounting of theappliance should followthe manufacturer`s instructionsand should usea mounting accessory recommendedby the manufacturer. An applianceand cart combinationshould be moved withcare. Quick stops,excessive force, anduneven surface maycause the applianceand Cart combination tooverturn. 7) Ventilation- Slots andopenings in thecabinet and theback or bottomare provided forventilation and to ensureoverheating. These openings must notbe locked inan built ininstallation such a bookcase or rack unless proper ventilationis provided orthe manufacturer instructionshave been adhered to. 8)Power sources- This TVshould be operatedonly from thetype of powersources indicated onthe electrical nameplate. Ifyou are notsure of thetype of thepower supply toyour home, consultyour appliance dealer orlocal power company. For TV`s intended tooperate from batterypower or other source, refer tothe operation instructions. 9)Grounding or polarization- This TVis equipped witha polarized alternatingcurrent line plug(a plug having oneblade wider thanthe other is).This plug willfit into thepower outlet onlyone way. This is safetyfeature. If youare unable toinsert the plugfully into theoutlet, try reversingthe plug. If the plug shouldstill fail tofit, contact yourelectrician to replaceyour outlet.
