Resumen del manual

(standard part number 2660-0211 and spare part number 466263-001) uses 512 Mb DRAM
chips. The new cache DIMM (standard part number 2660-0281 and spare part number 587246-
001) uses 1 Gb DRAM chips. This does not change the physical memory capacity (1 GB) of the
cache DIMM. It is a change to the controller memory module type only, which affects controller
policy and cache memory.
This memory module change requires a minimum version of XCS controller software (XCS
09522000) to support it. Additionally, you cannot mix the two DIMM memory types (for example,
spare part numbers 466263-001 and 587246-001) in one controller. Each controller within the
enclosure can have different DIMM memory types as long as both controllers are running a min-
imum of XCS 09522000.
NOTE:
The cache DIMM with the modified memory module (standard part number 2660-0281 and spare
part number 587246-001) requires a minimum of XCS 09522000. You cannot run any earlier
version of XCS or the controller will be rendered inoperative. New shipments of EVA4400
controllers with this cache DIMM will have a label stating Min FW 09522000 affixed to them.
Fixes
The following issue has been fixed in XCS 09522000:
• Addressed an issue where certain error handling instances on the EVA4400 could lead to a
controller halt.
The following issues have been fixed in XCS 09520000 and are included in XCS 09522000:
• Addressed an issue which could occur in 8Gb infrastructures in which host port perturbations
could cause the controller operation to terminate due to a watchdog timeout.
• Addressed an issue which caused the online disk drive firmware upgrade to fail intermittently.
• Addressed an issue where incorrect or incomplete disk enclosure I/O module information was
reported.
• Addressed an issue where an incomplete metadata write operation led to repetitive controller re-
starts.
• Improved disk enclosure I/O module handling which previously led to instability.
• Addressed an instance of controller termination due to a "TSDK Assert" condition.
• The EVA6400/8400 now correctly reports RoHS compliance on the controller hardware.
• Addressed an issue in which leveling did not complete after a disk drive topology change.
• Fixed OCP issues where certain menu selections caused the OCP to go blank or entering the
worldwide ID displayed all zeros.
• Fixed an issue where deleting a presented unit while the unit was still receiving I/O caused a
CSM reset or Unit Stalled Too Long condition
• During a DR group failover in an HP Continuous Access EVA configuration, the force full copy
action was stalled after the intersite link was resumed.
• Fixed an issue where a CSM reset condition occurred while waiting for leveling to complete.
• Addressed an issue where incorrect or incomplete controller status was reported.
• Addressed an issue which caused controller operation to terminate due to an inconsistent volume
ID block.
• Addressed an issue in the controller software that led to incorrect capacity reporting.
• Addressed an issue which led to repeated reporting of failure for a disconnected host port.
