It can programme a duration of up to 99 minutes. Enter a certain time for the required burner. When the programmed time has elapsed, the burner will go out automatically. The burner must be alight. 1. Touch the 0 symbol once. The display will show the following image: ‹‹V . 2. Touch the 0 symbol a second time. The display will U U U briefly show your hob set-up U U ‹‹ . Then touch the 0 symbol to select the required burner. 3. Having selected the required burner, touch the - or + symbols in the following 5 seconds to programme the required time. This sequence may be used to programme any burner on your hob. YOU MAY ONLY HAVE 2 BURNERS PROGRAMMED AT A TIME. The programme will start after a few seconds or when you select another burner. When the programmed time has elapsed Changing the programmed time Cancelling the programme Notes Other functions Timer button lock Protection against excess temperatures The display will always show the time remaining for the first programme to finish. When the programmed time has elapsed, the burner goes out, a beep sounds for 30 seconds, ‹‹U is shown on the right of the display and on the left the dots move around. Touch any symbol and the beep stops and the display goes out. TURN THE CONTROL KNOB TO THE 0 SETTING FOR THE BURNERS THAT HAVE BEEN SWITCHED OFF BY THE TIMER. Touch the 0 symbol, select the burner and change the time using the - or + symbols in the following 5 seconds. The new time programmed will begin after a few seconds. Touch the 0 symbol, select the burner and change the time to ‹‹U using the - or + symbols. The indicator disappears after a few seconds or will show the time remaining in the following programme. The timer function does not continue after a power failure. It can programme a duration of up to 99 minutes. If you want to check the programmed times, you can view all the programmes by touching the 0 symbol. Press and hold the 0 symbol for at least 4 seconds. A whistle will sound and the display will show the following message .–. Then the display will show the programme information again. If any symbol is touched when this function is being used, a whistle will sound and .– will appear on the display. To deactivate the button lock, press the 0 symbol again for at least 4 seconds. Your hob has a protection system for your timer's electronics. When high temperatures are reached in the timer electronics, the • message will be shown alternately with the information on the programmes in progress and the burners will stay on. If the temperature drops to acceptable levels, the • message will disappear. If the temperatures reach the maximum permitted limits, the timer will switch off all the burners on the hob as a protective measure, and the display will alternately show the• message and the times remaining for the programmes that were in progress and have been stopped. The controls will be locked until the temperature falls and reaches acceptable levels. Wait a few minutes before using your hob again. Protection against power failures Notes The digital display If your timer has a programme in progress and there is a power failure, the programmed burners will be turned off as a means of protection. As soon as the power supply returns, the display will show the .‹ message. To be able to use the timer once more, touch any of the symbols and the display will turn off and your hob will be ready to be programmed. The .‹ message also appears the first time the hob is connected to the power supply. To start using the timer, touch any of the symbols and the display will turn off and your hob will be ready to be programmed. A whistle sounds when water is spilt on any of the sensors. The following advice is intended to help you save energy Precautions for use and prevent pan damage: Use pans which are the right size for each burner. Do not use small pans on large burners. The flame should not touch the sides of the pan. Do not use damaged pans, which do not sit evenly on the cooktop. Pans may tip over. Only use pans with a thick, flat base.
